Sights to See |
The catacombs on the coast near Alexandria are more than just tombs.
They include temples, baths, and homes of Egyptian as well as Roman
nobles. The structures are quite large and contain sophisticated feats of architecture and engineering. However, the locals claim that the ruins are well-guarded. They say that few have managed to gain entrance to the catacombs and none who have entered have returned. Knowing that neither curses nor fabled guardians would deter you from exploring the catacombs, just be aware that the structure is quite large and contains more than one exit. |

Tomb Guardians |
The catacombs' guards cannot be readily destroyed. You will encounter water elementals which cannot be destroyed with any weapon. You will also encounter more skeletons, which can be difficult to destroy. | ||
Souvenirs

There are four tridents to be found within the catacombs. Do not leave the catacombs until you have obtained all four. | ||
Hidden Treasures |
Up until you find the fourth trident, there is only one secret to be found. (Technically, you could obtain a second one, but we've included that one in the final chapter of our guide for the catacombs). The secret is easy to miss and can be found fairly early in your visit to the catacombs. | ||
Hazards |
There are a few long and often fatal falls that can be a problem. There is also a plethora of skeletons that keep cropping up all over the place. Manage to deal with that and you're home free. | ||
