The Desert Railroad is a short but very nifty level. It's pretty linear, but in case you're missing the point, we've got hints for you.
Refresh Your Memory
Okay, you're playing hobo and you're riding from Karnak to Alexandria. Recall the last thing that Lara said was that she plans on reducing Von Croy's forces. Those are your two objectives of this level.
Ms. Fixit
You got one lever with a handle that works, and you got another one that's missing a handle. You'll need to find something to use to throw that other switch. In the meanwhile, you can use the one that works and move on.
No Rest For the Weary
A jump will get you to the sleeper car. You open the doors with the action key. Sure some interesting stuff happens, but you need to head toward the back of the train.
Train Jumper
Beyond the sleeper car are two flat cars, one of which has a little cargo. At this point you will start to encounter what will be a familar sight: assassins jumping onto the train from trucks driving along the side of the tracks. You can take these two down with ease if you simply take them on one at a time. Be careful when jumping around that Lara doesn't fall off the train. Falling off the train is instantly fatal.
Boxcar Lara
Beyond the two flat cars are two boxcars. You can climb onto the boxcars using the ladder on the side of first boxcar. Watch your step, up there. Don't think you're going to be able to have your run of the train unchallenged.
Freight Expectations
The flat car with the cargo covered by the tarp doesn't seem like a big deal, does it? Well, guess what? You can't go over the the cargo because it's too steep on all sides. So just go around. What's that? The sides are too steep too? Well, I'm sure you'll figure something out if you just hang around a while.
Loose Caboose
Well, you're at the last car. Now what? Let me refresh your memory once again. You need some kind of gadget to use to throw those switches that don't have handles. What you're looking for is inside. There's no hatch on top, so you'll have to look around for another way.
Round Trip Ticket
Found something that works? Now you're ready to make your way back toward the engine. Everything you ran into on your way back you'll get on your way back to the front. When you get back into the first boxcar, be sure to follow through on Lara's vow to reduce Von Croy's forces.
