Draw pistols and shoot out the two vases ahead. Pick up the large Medi Pack (1) from the step on the right and Uzi clips (2) from the step on the left. Face north and walk to the opening that leads down a ramp.

Step forward to slide down the ramp. Lara will hit another ramp that slides down to the left and drop her into a doom below. A swarm of beetles will swarm out and attack Lara. Lara cannot shoot at the beetles, so quickly turn right, run forward and take a running jump and grab onto the ceiling.

Swing across the room and release when Lara is in the next chamber. She will land on a ramp and slide to the flat part of the room. Take a standing jump forward and grab onto the wooden pole. Do not slide to the bottom of the pole, but rather, take a backflip off of the pole when Lara reaches the middle level.

Angle Lara to the left and walk forward, being careful not to fall down into the gap between the center platform and the ledge that is adjacent the walls of this room. Take a standing jump over the gap and shoot out the vase on the left. Vault up onto the pedestal and pick up a small Medi Pack (3).
Torch
Turn left and run forward to drop back to the floor. Run forward to the corner of the room and turn left. Run forward, vault or jump over the pedestal, and turn left once more when Lara gets to the next corner. Run forward and vault up onto the next ledge ahead. There is a torch (4) on the pedestal.

The torch can be lit using the flames from the pedestal to the right and is supposed to be used ward off the beetles below, but when Lara is holding the torch, she can't grab onto things or activate switches and it isn't even an effective deterrent for the beetles. Instead of picking up the torch, turn left and take a standing jump over the gap and run forward.

Take a standing jump and grab onto the wooden pole. Slide down to the lower level, where beetles will swarm around below Lara. Backflip off of the pole while performing a half twist in midair and run forward. Reach into the hole in the wall to actuate a switch. Quickly reverse roll, jump out of the alcove, and run forward and turn right when Lara reaches the pole and continue to the north wall of the room.

Reach into the hole to actuate another switch and a door will open at the middle level above. Reverse roll, jump out of the alcove and run forward. Run past the pole to the alcove ahead and reach into the hole to pick up a small Medi Pack (5). Reverse roll, take a jump out of the alcove. Take a running jump forward and grab onto the wooden pole.

Climb up to the middle level and backflip off of the pole. Use a Medi Pack now if Lara has take severe damage from beetle stings. Turn left and run forward, taking a jump over the gap between the middle platform and the outside platform. Run into the doorway that Lara just opened. Run up the slope and the door will slam shut behind her.

When Lara reaches the top of the ramp, turn left and walk forward. Have Lara shove open the panel on the left wall and walk forward. Climb up onto the block ahead and run forward to drop to the lower floor ahead. Safety drop into the hole to reach the room below. In the room ahead, is a large game board with game pieces.
SECRET #1
Turn left and walk forward along the edge of the platform. Angle Lara to the right and take a standing jump to the small ledge in the corner. Take another standing jump to reach the ledge against the west wall. Run forward and turn left and climb up the ladder. Shift to the right at the top of the ladder and release to find SECRET #1. Turn right and step forward to pick up a box of wideshot shotgun shells (6) and a small Medi Pack (7).

Hop backwards and safety drop to the platform below. Turn around and walk forward. Angle Lara to the left and take a standing jump to the small ledge in the corner and another jump to wider ledge and run forward.
Turn and face south. Enter the doorway and turn left. Run down the stairs and turn left once more and run down the ramp. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right and climb up the bars on the wall into the hole in the ceiling. Pull up onto the ledge above and run forward.

Climb up to the higher ledge. Run forward and turn left. Run forward to the end of the tunnel and drop to the ledge below the. Kill an ornately decorated jackal (1) and drop off the ledge. Quickly climb back up onto the ledge and kill a second jackal (2). When both are dead, drop to the floor of the room.

Run around to the opposite side of the room where there are three holes that will billow forth flames. The two on the outside will occasionally stop. Wait in front of the hole on the left. As soon as it goes off, run forward, reach in and grab a small Medi Pack (8). Immediately take two hops back to avoid getting burned by the flames.

Now stand in front of the hole on the right. As soon as the flames recede, reach into the hole to turn off the flames in the middle hole. Quickly take two hops back before the flames come out again. Now run to the middle hole and reach in to cause a pink marble block on the right to lower.

Hop back and turn right. Run forward and turn left. Enter the passageway and when Lara reaches the pool, angle her to the left and take a standing jump to the ledge to the left of the pool. Turn left and look down into the room ahead. The pink marble block will raise again to prevent Lara from leaving the way she came.

There are six holes1, three on each side of the room, each has flames shooting out of it. The nearest and farthest hole on the left and the farthest hole on the right will occasionally go out [#1, #3, #4].

Drop down into the middle of the room where Lara is safe. Turn left and wait until the flames recede in the first hole on the south wall [#1] and run forward. Reach inside to permanently turn off the flames of the third hole on the south wall [#3] and middle hole on the north wall [#5]. Immediately take two hops back to avoid getting burned by the flames.

Now turn right and walk to the end of the pit and turn left. Step forward and reach into the third hole on the south wall [#3] to get a box of regular shotgun shells (9). Reverse roll and walk to forward. Side step to the right and reach into the hole in the middle of the north wall [#5] to permanently turn off the hole to the right on the same wall [#6].

Now side step to the right and reach into the newly extinguished hole [#6] to raise a golden cage in the room outside and cause the middle hole on the north wall [#2] to extinguish occasionally.

Turn around and walk to the hole on the left on the north wall [#4]. Wait until the flames recede and run forward to reach into the hole and grab a small Medi Pack (10). Quickly take two hops backwards before the flames shoot out of the hole again.

Turn around and finally stand in front of the middle hole on the south wall [#2] and wait for the flames to recede. Quickly run forward, reach into the hole to lower another pink marble block to allow Lara to exit this area. Quickly take two hops back before the flames shoot out of the hole again.

Turn right and run forward to the western side of this pit. Climb out of the pit and jump up and grab the wooden slats on the ceiling. Swing forward, over the deep pit, and turn left and continue swinging forward until Lara can release over a ledge beyond the pit.

Run forward, turn left, step forward, and turn right. Run forward to exit through the newly lowered marble block and the block will rise once again to seal off the area Lara just entered.

Run forward past the golden cage that Lara just raised and turn right. Vault up onto the block beside the golden cage. Turn right and climb up onto the gold cage. Turn right once more and aim Lara at the ledge that protrudes to the right from the structure in the middle of the room.

Take a running jump to the ledge and run forward. Turn left and step into the alcove in the middle of the structure. Wait until the flames recede and run forward. Reach into the hole to extinguish the flames in the lowest chamber below this structure. Turn around and step out of this alcove.
SECRET #2
Turn left and walk forward to the end of the platform. Turn around and hang from the platform. Shimmy to the right until Lara reaches the corner of the structure. Shimmy around the corner and continue to shimmy to the right. Lara will come to another corner and continue through that corner until Lara reaches the end of the ladders.

Climb up the ladder and pull up into SECRET #2. Step forward and pick up a box of wideshot shotgun shells (11). Turn right and step forward to collect a large Medi Pack (12). Return to the entrance of this small alcove and turn around. Hang from the edge of the alcove and climb down.
Rules of Senet
Safety drop to the ground and run over to the north side of the structure in the middle of the room and turn and face south. Run down the slope between the two pillars and continue forward to the alcove at the bottom which was formerly protected by flames. Take the Rules of Senet (13).

Reverse roll and run back up the slope. At the top of the slope, turn either way, and run back around the structure in the middle of the room to the south wall. Vault up to the lower ledge and run forward. Climb back up to the tunnel above. Run forward and turn right. Continue forward and drop to the lower ledge.

When Lara reaches the hole, turn around and climb down the ladder to the hallway below. Reverse roll and run forward back into the large room with the game board. Climb up onto the game board, and run forward to drop off the other side. Run forward into the hallway ahead and climb up the bars on the wall through a trapdoor that was formerly closed.

Take a backflip off the ladder when Lara reaches the room above. The face on the opposite wall will project forth, indicating your opponent is ready to play. To understand the rules of the game, examine the rules Lara picked up earlier.

Turn around and run forward to the rails of the balcony and turn left. Spin the blocks on the wall, and then step on one of the color square to move the corresponding piece on the game board. After each move, Lara's opponent will move. Repeat this process until Lara has lost the game2.

When Lara loses the game, the remaining game pieces will disappear as will the sticks. Four trapdoors will open around the floor of the game board. Two trapdoors will be near the northern side of the room and two on the southern. Turn and face away from the hand rails of the balcony and run toward the open ladder. Take a running jump and grab to reach the ladder and climb down.

When Lara reaches the floor, release and reverse roll. Run forward toward the game board. Turn left when Lara exits the hallway and run forward to drop into the newly opened trapdoor ahead. Turn right and slide down the ramp ahead. Once Lara begins her slide, press and hold the action key for the remainder of the time she is sliding down slopes. Lara will drop down to another ramp that slopes down and to the right which will lead to another drop ahead. Allow Lara to drop into the opening and land on another ramp below.
SECRET #3
As Lara slides forward, the ramp will turn to the right, but there will be an opening in the wall directly ahead. Take a jump before Lara reaches the turn to reach the opening. Step forward and drop into SECRET #3. Step forward and turn left. Take a standing jump and grab onto the bamboo pole. Slide down into the chamber below.

Draw pistols and shoot out the two vases ahead. Step around the pole, and climb up onto the ledge and pick up a small Medi Pack (14) and a box of wideshot shotgun shells (15). Turn around and drop off the ledge and run forward, to the left of the pole and pick up Uzi clips (16) off the ground. Turn around and run to the pole.

Grab onto the pole and climb up to the upper room. Take a back flip off of the pole to land on the floor of the chamber above and turn left. Run forward and climb back up to the opening.

Lara should drop onto a ledge with a pole that runs through the middle of the chamber. Pick up a small Medi Pack (17), turn around and take a standing jump to the opposite ledge and pick up a pair of Uzi clips (18). Turn around and take a standing jump and grab onto the pole and slide down to the room blow.

Release and draw pistols. Step forward toward a ledge on the western side of the room and a bat (3) will flutter out from the staircase. Kill it and safety drop to the ledge below. Reverse roll, angle Lara to the right, run forward to the western wall and turn right. Walk forward and turn left. Safety drop to the floor of this room.

Reverse roll and run diagonally across the floor of this room and climb up the ladder on the northern wall. When Lara pulls up onto the ledge, draw pistols and turn left to kill another bat (4). Turn around and walk over to the pole. Grab onto the pole and climb up. When Lara is in the chamber above, take a backflip off of the pole.
Lara will land on a ledge in the chamber with the pole in the middle. Pick up a quiver of poison crossbow bolts (19), turn around and take a standing jump to the opposite ledge and pick up a box of regular shotgun shells (20). Turn around and take a standing jump and grab to reach the pole.

Slide down the pole to the chamber below. Draw pistols and kill a bat (5) that will attack from ahead3. Step forward and turn left. Aim Lara toward the closer of the two ropes and take a running jump and grab to reach it. Slide down the bottom of the rope and aim Lara toward the second rope.

Don't rely on looking to line Lara up with the second rope. Take a swing over to the rope to see if Lara is properly lined up. When she is swing toward the second rope and leap off the rope and grab onto the next rope. Rotate Lara clockwise on the rope and aim for the southwest corner of the room.

Swing Lara toward the corner and wait until she wraps her legs around the rope. Swing a second time and leap off the rope when she is at the apex of her swing to reach the far ledge.

Turn right and step forward. Draw pistols and kill a bat (6) that will attack from ahead3. Run forward and turn left when Lara reaches the steps. Run up the steps and angle Lara to the left and run up the next flight of stairs and draw pistols when Lara reaches the threshold of the room.

Kill one jackal (7) that will attack from the right before she steps into the room, and after it's dead, step into the room to kill a second jackal (8) that will attack from the left.
Cartouche Piece #1
When both are dead, run across the room to the alcove in the western wall and pull the senet game piece five times until it is between the two hammers. Reverse roll and run around to the other side of the lever. Throw the lever to smash the game piece. Run forward and pick up the first Cartouche Piece (21) from the shards of the game piece.

Reverse roll and exit this room through the staircase at the eastern side of this room that Lara entered from. Run down the steps and angle Lara to the left and continue until Lara returns to the room with the two ropes. Line Lara up with the rope ahead, take a running jump and grab onto the rope. Swing across to the ledge across the room above the large iron double doors.
SECRET #4
Walk over to the orange panels on the left and push them open to reveal SECRET #4. Run inside and turn right. Step forward and pick up a quiver full of explosive crossbow bolts (22) and a small Medi Pack (23). Reverse roll and run forward, turning left inside the passage, to return to the room with the two dangling ropes.
Walk to the northern side of the ledge and step as far into the corner as possible. Angle Lara to the right and take a standing jump over the short part of the slope to the longer slope and grab onto the bottom edge of the slope. Safety drop to the floor of the chamber and turn left.

Run forward and climb up the ladder. When Lara reaches the gray brick ledge, shift around the corner of the wall she is climbing up and release to reach the ledge. Reverse roll and angle Lara to the left. Run across the ledge until Lara reaches the western wall and pull up into the crawlspace.

Crawl forward, following the crawlspace as it turns to the right. When Lara can stand, step forward and vault up into the opening of another chamber. Take a standing jump to the platform in the middle of the room, and run forward between the two hammers.

Enter the alcove on the far side of the room and pull the game piece four times out of the alcove. Side step around the game piece and push it forward once more and immediately take a hop back as the two hammers smash this second game piece apart.
Cartouche Piece #2
Step forward and pick up the second Cartouche Piece (24) and draw pistols. Run forward, between the two hammers, and drop down to a ledge below the opening that leads out of this room. Turn around and take aim on a jackal (9) that will be patrolling the room. Drop to the floor of this room to kill a second jackal (10) that will charge out of a doorway on the northern side of this room.

When both jackals are dead, enter the doorway and shoot the two vases. Pick up a small Medi Pack (25) from the left and a box of regular shotgun shells (26) on the right. Exit this room and run to the southern side of the chamber outside. Turn and vault up onto the block at that end of the room. Turn and climb up to the platform above.

Reverse roll and take a standing jump to the opening. Step forward to drop down to the crawlspace. Crouch down, crawl forward and follow the crawlspace as it turns to the left. Turn around when Lara reaches the end of the crawlspace and have her lower herself down to the ledge outside.
Ba Cartouche
Side step to the left and safety drop to the floor of this chamber. Combine the two cartouche pieces to form the Ba Cartouche. Place the cartouche in the receptacle near the eastern door. Once the door opens, immediately draw weapons and kill two jackals (11, 12) that will attack from the left and right.

When both are dead exit through the newly opened door. Walk through the door, onto the platform in the middle of the room. Turn right and walk forward to the end of the platform. The lever ahead will temporarily extinguish the burners on the platforms behind Lara, but she can do a little work prior to using it to make things easier.

Safety drop off the end of platform and side step to either side. Run forward and climb up the pole ahead. Backflip off the pole when Lara reaches the ledge above and then turn toward the middle of the platform.

Step up, onto the middle of the platform, and then turn north. Run forward and pull the senet game piece once. Side step around the game piece and push it forward once. Turn and face one of the poles and take a standing jump to grab onto it. Slide to the floor and turn to face south.

Run forward to the room with the column. Angle Lara to the right and head to the southwest corner of the room and crouch down. Crawl into the crawlspace and a trapdoor above will open. Stand up and climb the ladder back up into the room with the two ropes.

Run forward and take two turns to the right to reenter the large open doorway. Step up onto the platform and turn right. Walk to the end of the platform and take a running jump and grab onto the lever. Lara's weight will pull the lever down, extinguishing the burners, and she will drop to the ground.

Immediately reverse roll, run around the column to the far end of the hall. Climb up one of the poles and backflip off of the pole. Angle Lara so that she can take a standing jump to the middle platform and turn and face the game piece. Push the game piece forward four times and then take a hop back.
Ra Cartouche
Allow the two hammers to smash apart this game piece and quickly step forward and grab the Ra Cartouche (27). Quickly step forward, past the raised part of the platform and turn right. Run forward to return to the room with the two ropes.

Place the Ra Cartouche in the receptacle adjacent to the western door to open it. Turn left and run forward, taking a hairpin turn to the left to enter the door. Run up the stairs and turn left. Run up the left side of a second flight of stairs. Angle Lara to the right and drop to the ground. A fire elemental4 (13) will chase Lara around and launch fireballs at her.

Quickly take a running jump to the ledge on the right and run up the ramp. Angle Lara to the right as she nears the top of the ramp and take a running jump up to the higher hallway. Turn right and run forward. Lara will step down into a sloping section of the hallway. Continue running forward. Throw the lever ahead to open the box in this chamber to release a water elemental. The two will annihilate each other.

Pick up small Medi Packs (28, 29) from between the columns at the north and south sides of this room. Exit this chamber by running up the slope at the east side of this room and vaulting back up to the higher hallway.

Run forward and step out of the hallway onto the ramp. Turn left and run down the ramp and turn right when Lara gets to the bottom of the ramp. Drop to the floor and turn left. Vault up to the raised ledge below the opening that Lara entered this chamber from. Climb back up to the opening at the top of the steps.

Turn around and aim Lara for the first of three ropes. Take a running jump to grab onto the first rope. Make sure that Lara is aimed at the second rope and swing forward. Leap off the first rope when Lara is at the apex of her swing and grab onto the second rope. Verify that Lara is aimed at the third rope, slide down to the bottom of the second rope and make her swing forward. Leap off the second rope at the apex of her swing and grab the third rope.
SECRET #5
Now swing forward once more and leap off the rope to land on the small ledge, which is SECRET #5. Step forward and turn left to pick up a box of regular grenades (30) from behind the left column. Reverse roll and run forward to pick up a box of revolver ammunition (31). Turn right and run forward to pick up a pair of Uzi clips (32). Turn around run forward, turning left twice, to return to the platform. Take a running jump and grab to return to the third rope.
Rotate Lara so that she is facing east, slide down to the bottom of the rope, and swing the rope forward and leap off the rope to reach the dark upper hallway. Run forward and reverse roll just before Lara reaches the end of the platform. Draw pistols and kill two bats (14, 15) that will attack.

Turn around when the bats are dead and walk forward to the end of the ledge. Take a running jump and grab onto the platform in the middle of the room. Grab onto the pole and climb up the pole. When Lara climbs higher than the level of the ledge ahead, rotate all the way around and backflip onto the ledge. Immediately draw pistols and kill two bats (16, 17) that may awaken on the opposite wall.
SECRET #6
If the bats fly away, Lara can deal with them as she encounters them later. Turn left and face south. Take a standing jump and grab onto the switch. Lara's weight will lower the lever and raise a ledge opposite the switch.

When Lara drops to the ledge below, she will take a little damage. Turn around and walk forward. Angle her to the left and take a standing jump to the platform at the base of the pole. Climb the pole and rotate Lara so that she is squarely facing away from the ledge.

Take a backflip to the ledge and then angle Lara to the right. Take a standing jump to the ledge that was just raised. Turn right and reach into the hole and retrieve a torch (33). Turn around and toss the torch forward so that it drops to the floor.

Aim Lara toward the pole and take a standing jump to grab onto it. Slide down to the bottom of the pole and angle Lara to the right. Take a standing jump to the wide opening that Lara entered from, and try to grab onto the ledge. Attempting to grab will adjust Lara's trajectory and she should land on the ledge.

Run forward and safety drop off the end of the ledge into the room with the three ropes. Run forward, down the hallway, into the room below the pole. Pick up the torch and exit the room, running west back down the hallway. Take a jump onto the ramp and turn right. Run up the ramp and take a jump onto ledge with the burning pedestal.

Light the torch on the pedestal and turn around. Run forward, dropping onto the ramp, and run forward to drop to the floor. Turn left and run back down the hallway. Take a jump onto the ledge on the right side of the hallway and run forward to the eastern wall.

Light the torch mounted on the wall and turn left. Run forward and drop to the floor. Run across the hall and take a jump up to the opposite ledge. Turn right and light the other mounted torch, which will drop open a trapdoor in the middle of the hallway.

Drop the torch and turn around. Angle Lara to the left and run forward to drop to the floor of the hallway. Climb down the ladder in the hole and turn right. Run forward and drop into the hole at the far end of the hallway to a passageway below. Turn right and run forward into SECRET #6.

Turn left and vault up into the next hallway. Sprint down the hallway and dive through the blades. Run forward into the next room and, moving counter clockwise around the room, quickly collect a box of flash grenades (34), a canister of flares (35), a large Medi Pack (36), and a box of wideshot shotgun shells (37) from the pedestals that are around the side of the room. A swarm of beetles will drop into the room, so keep Lara moving.

Exit through the passageway that Lara entered from, but instead of dealing with the blades, drop through the trapdoor that has just opened and run forward. Another trapdoor will drop open ahead, climb out through the trapdoor and keep running, as the beetles will still be chasing Lara. Drop into the lower hallway ahead and turn right. Run forward and turn left at the end of the hall. Vault up into the next hallway and turn right at the end of the hall. Use the ladder to climb out of the passageway.

Take a hairpin turn around and return to the room with the three ropes. Turn right and run to the north side of the room. Vault up onto the ledge at the far side of the room and run forward to vault up onto the platform ahead. Climb back up to the hallway above and turn around.

Take a running jump and grab onto the first rope. Swing over to the second rope, and then to the third. Rotate Lara counter-clockwise and swing Lara over to the upper ledge of the hallway . Run forward and take a running jump off the end of the hallway and grab onto the ledge with the pole. Pull up and climb up the pole. When Lara is above the level of the ledge ahead, rotate her around and take a backflip onto the ledge.
Turn around and run forward. Turn left and run forward to the corner. Turn left again and walk forward to the end of the ledge. Take a standing jump and grab onto the opposite ledge. Pull up and run forward to the corner.

Turn left and run to the passageway ahead. Turn right and enter the passageway. Run down the passageway and jump up and grab the edge of the hole in the ceiling. Pull up to the chamber above.
SECRET #7
Turn around and take a standing jump and grab onto the lever to raise a gold cage in the room. Lara will drop back into the hole below. Turn around and step forward. Jump up and grab the hole and pull back up to the room above.
Uzis
Angle Lara to one side and run forward up one of the ramps. Vault up on top of gold cage and turn and face east. Jump up and grab the hole in the ceiling. Pull up into the room above, which is SECRET #7, and turn left. Step forward and pick up the Uzis (38), which will count as Uzi clips if Lara is already carrying the Uzis. Turn right and walk to the eastern side of the room to pick up a large Medi Pack (39). Turn and walk to the south side of the hole and pick up a quiver full of explosive crossbow bolts (40).

Safety drop through the hole to the golden cage below. Turn and face west and run forward into the next passage.
Run forward to the western side of the room and climb up into the passageway ahead3. Enter the passageway and turn left. Run forward to the end of this passageway and turn right. Run forward down the next hallway and turn right. The stone doorway ahead will open automatically.

Step forward to drop to the floor below. Run forward into the larger chamber ahead.

Lara steps forward into the dark chamber. She turns on a flash light and begins to scan the hieroglyphics on the walls of the chamber. They are the words of Semerkhet, priest of Horus. She begins to read them aloud, "For I have served the god of light, Horus, at the time of plagues."

As Lara continues to read, she visualizes the masked face of Semerkhet and his deep booming voice dictating these words, "To read this inscription means that the ruler of darkness is free. Seth is released to walk abroad amongst the mortals. Enlisting his armies of the night to serve him. He who removes the amulet and releases the dark power of Seth shall summon the Sun god, Horus, for whom the power of light will again imprison him."

Visions of the jackal-like mask of Seth and the skeletal faces of his dark armies, Horus seated at his throne, and Semerkhet reading from a scroll pour into Lara's mind. "By the power of the amulet and armor of Horus shall Seth be confined for all eternity." Lara envisions the amulet of Horus placed on Seth's breastplate and four mortals bowing to Horus.

The words of Semerkhet continues, "Summon the might of Horus through the light of the millennial constellations into his temple beneath the ageless pyramid, into his likeness set in stone. With his amulet and his armor, he is once again poised to battle and defeat Seth." Lara pictures the swirling constellations forming the shape of a falcon and the armor of Horus.

Lara hears a sound behind her and quickly turns toward it.

Footnotes:
  1. For easy reference, let's number the holes from one to six, starting from the hole nearest on the left and going counter-clockwise around the room. We'll reference the holes using this numbering system.

  2. Save the game before you start and play to lose. We want to lose, as it allows us access to several secrets. If you're not interested in the secrets and you win the game, then gold cages will rise from the game board. Climb back down to the ground, turn left, run up the slope, turn left and run up the stairs.

    Step through the doorway and take a standing jump to the top of the gold cage ahead. Take a running jump to the next cage. Take a running jump and grab to reach the next cage. Take another running jump and grab to reach the final cage. Take a jump to land on the far ledge.

    Run forward to enter the next hallway. Turn either way and run to the end of the hallway. Turn when Lara reaches the corner and run down the steps. Drop to the lower set of steps and reverse roll. Run forward and turn when Lara gets to the corner.

    As Lara approaches the double doors, two jackals (17, 18) will emerge. Draw weapons and kill them. Enter the double doors and run forward down the steps. When Lara reaches the bottom shoot out the vase ahead on the right and run forward.

    Vault up onto the ledge and grab the set of Uzi clips (41). Turn right and run forward to drop off the ledge. Turn left and run down the steps. When Lara is past the first pillar turn right and shoot out the vase. Vault up onto the ledge and grab a box of regular shotgun shells (42).

    Hop backwards to the steps and turn left. Draw pistols and walk down the steps. Lara should be able to take out a jackal (19) with ease from the steps. Turn left and step forward with pistols drawn. A second jackal (20) will attack from an alcove ahead and to the right.

    Kill it and run forward. Drop into the hole and reverse roll. Run forward across the long hallway, circling around the block in the middle of the hallway. Beetles will drop into the room so move quickly. Take a standing jump over a steep slope at the far end of the hallway and climb up to the safety of the room above.

    Backflip off of the pole and shoot out the vase on the right. Run around the hole and vault up onto the ledge to take the large Medi Pack (43) that was hidden inside. Turn around and run forward to drop off the ledge and run forward into the next chamber.

    Turn right and run down the slope between the mirrors and across the room. Turn left and run up the ramp until Lara drops into the room with the pole. Draw pistols and kill two bats (21, 22) that will attack. Climb up the pole.

    Rotate around and locate the room with the two coffers. When Lara is lined up with the level of the room, rotate around so that she can backflip into it. Turn around and run across the room and collect a quiver full of regular crossbow bolts (44) from the southeast corner of the room and a quiver full of poison crossbow bolts (45) from other corner.

    Turn around and return to the opening to this chamber. Angle Lara to the left and take a standing jump into the next hallway. Run forward and the large stone door ahead will open. Run forward and drop into the next room and the door will slam shut.

    Turn right and run forward, past the blue senet game piece. Turn left and run forward to the red senet game piece and turn left once more. Push it forward three times so that it comes to rest on the red tile, thus blocking one of the beams of light that shines into the mirror room.

    Turn left, run forward and take a hairpin turn to the left when Lara reaches the blue senet game piece. Push it forward once and side step around it in the clockwise direction so that Lara is standing on the north side of the piece and pull the game piece three times. Get around behind it to push it north one more time. Side step around the piece in the counter clockwise direction and push it forward twice to the west so that it rests on the blue tile and blocks off a second ray of light.

    Turn left and run forward to the green senet game piece. Turn left and push it forward once. Step around it and push it north four times. Step around it and push it east twice onto the green tile to block the third ray of light. This will cause the central platform to slide open and the two statues to come to life in the room below as well as open the stone door that leads out of this room.

    Turn right and run forward to the far end of this chamber. Vault up onto the ledge to the left of the golden column and turn left. Take a standing jump and grab to return to the hallway. Pull up and run forward. Run down the hallway and take a standing jump and grab to return to the pole.

    Slide down the pole and reverse roll. Run forward and vault up into the sloping passageway. Draw pistols and run forward, down the hallway and kill the two jackals (23, 24). Run forward, down the hallway to return to the mirror room.

    Turn right and run forward to the newly revealed hole and drop into it. Turn left and crouch down. Crawl forward and turn right. Crawl to the end of the crawlspace and turn around. Have Lara lower herself out of the crawlspace into the room below. Reverse roll and run forward. Turn right and enter the chamber with the red floor.

  4. The fire elemental is technically not a "kill" in the normal sense, but it behaves far too smart to be listed as a mere hazard. I think it validly qualifies as an enemy, so I'm going to mark it with kill numbers for reference but is not counted toward the total kills for this level because, technically the water elemental kills it. The water elemental, would hence be counted as friendly, and so is not marked with a kill number.

  5. There are additional kills and pickups if you win the game of Senet, but you can either choose that short path or the long one but not both, so we list those additional items and kills as part of the total, but the maximum you will be able to get is fewer than the total.
