| A mere five kilometers Northwest of Luxor is the city of Karnak, outside the city lies the ancient ruins of the Temple of Karnak. | |||
Sights to See |
On the banks of the Nile, in the province of Qina, lies the ruins of
the city of Karnak. This city of temples is extremely large and its
ruins are more impressive than many of the modern wonders. The size
of the great temple, which is at the heart of Karnak, is
tremendous. The Hypostyle hall at 54,000 square feet with its 134 columns is the largest room of any religeous building in the world. In addition to the main sanctuary there are several smaller temples and a vast sacred lake. |

Local Fauna |
The only living thing you'll encounter in the temple are black scorpions. Keep your distance from them as they are quite poisonous. | ||

There is one item of interest to be found within the temple, which is a Canopic Jar. | ||

There are four secrets. You'll find them all fairly readily if you are thorough in your explorations. | ||
Hazards |
There are a few lethal falls and a dozen or so scopions, but that's about it. If you plan on going for a swim, just be mindful not to drown. | ||
