The Tomb of Seth
Items: 30
Kills: 20
Welcome back to Egypt! It seems our adventures have brought us to this familiar country. The Tomb of Seth isn't too tricky, but if you need hints, find them below
Follow the Leader
Lara is getting wiser in her old age. This time she's brought along someone who knows where we're supposed to go. Let Ahmed, the guide, lead you through the tomb. When he stops, then it's your turn to figure out what to do next.
Reaching Out
First a closed door without a key requires you to stretch yourself. If you're a old hand at Tomb Raider, you're going to need to learn a new trick. Switches, buttons and levers are no longer in plain sight and in easy reach. You can't plainly see the switch that opens the gate. It's in a hole, and all you have to do is stick your hand in to activate it.
Fools Rush In
Ahmed has stopped and is kneeling at a doorway. He's no fool. Don't be one yourself. This should be something you learned from following Von Croy through Cambodia. It will be safe to proceed in a moment.
Puzzle Pieces
So you've collected the two Eye Pieces, and found that neither one works anywhere. This is the next new trick you're going to need to learn. The two pieces are useless apart. You need to put the pieces together.
Exit Stage Left
If you've stopped to enjoy the sights, then you've probably lost your guide. He went down the steps and to the left, and into the tunnel.
Your Turn
Ahmed has come to a closed gate and now he's waiting for you to do something. Don't just standing there staring at him for the answers, go looking for the the solution. There's a fork in the tunnel that he didn't go down. That one's for you.
Yanking Your Chain
Above the gate is a chain. You pull it and the gate opens. Ahmed comes in and and sets the oily pool on fire. As a result several squares light up on the floor ahead. It's not just a matter of stepping on all the blocks. There are five torches on the far wall that light up to indicate whether or not you're doing it right. If you don't the torches go out and you have to reset the flaming squares and start over. If you're having problems then you're not being careful enough. Don't step off the lit squares. Don't even step on their gray borders.
Reset
It's not a bad thing if you need to reset the flaming squares. Just exit and go down the long tunnel. If you're having trouble getting back to the room with the light squares, you're just not moving fast enough. Go back to the lower chain and try again.
On Your Own
When Ahmed flees in fear, you'll be on your own for a while. Don't sweat it. You just need to replace The Timeless Sands and move on. It's not hard to swallow.
