SECRET #1
|
Begin by turning around and walking toward the river. Run past the
exit of the temple ruins until Lara comes to the edge of the river
after it bends right. Turn around and face away from the river and
hang off the ledge and start shimmying left until Lara is over a
ledge. Let go and drop down to the ledge. Turn around walk toward the end of the ledge. Angle Lara to the right and take a running jump to the long ledge on the right wall. Turn left and walk to the end of this next ledge. Side step to the left where there is maximum clearance above, otherwise Lara will not be able to reach the far ledge. Take a running jump and grab to reach the next ledge. Pull up and turn left walk to the edge. Line Lara up with the next ledge and take another running jump and grab to reach the next ledge. Turn right and aim Lara at the next ledge. Take a running jump to the ledge and walk to the edge and take a standing jump to the next small ledge. Angle Lara to the left and a running jump diagonally to the next small ledge. Turn right and take one more running jump and grab to reach the last ledge. Pull up and turn right and step into SECRET #1. Once inside turn left and head to the corner and turn right. Jump up and grab the top edge of the sloped block. Pull up and press and hold the jump key. Lara will jump off the first sloped ledge and over a field of spikes. She will then take two more jumps off of two more sloped ledges, over two more area of spikes. Finally press the action key and grab the brick pillar, pull up and turn around. If Lara jumped off the first slope too early, she will jump off the third slope backward and land on top of the brick column, and won't need to grab or turn around. Take a standing jump up to the ledge on the right and run forward and pick up the shotgun shells (1). Turn around and run back to the other end of the ledge and drop diagonally to the right back onto the pillar. Take a standing jump to the ledge with the two torches. Collect the crystal (2), and the large Medi Pack (3) then drop down to the ground. Exit the room and turn left. Have Lara make her way back to the beginning by taking a running jump and grab to the small ledge. Take a running jump diagonally to the left to reach the next ledge. Take a standing jump to the large ledge. Walk forward and turn right and take a running jump slightly angled to the right. Turn left and take a running jump and grab to get back to the next ledge. Turn right and walk to the right corner. Staying to the right, take a running jump and grab to reach the long ledge. Take a running jump diagonally to the right. Jump up and grab the rope ladder. Shimmy to the right until Lara can pull up. Run forward, past the temple exit, back to where Lara started from. |

Run forward to the quad bike and turn right. Head over to the wall,
where Lara can jump up and grab onto a small hole in the wall. Pull
up into the hole and crawl forward and pick up MP5 clips (4) and crawl forward a little more and pick up
a box of flares (5). Now head over to
the quad bike and climb aboard. Drive the quad bike past the exit of
the temple and carefully align the quad bike to the cave entrance
across the river, and back the bike up. Accelerate the bike off the
small hill, and jump the bike over the river into the cave. Drive the bike into the cave and follow the cave as it turns right. Hug the right wall, and when Lara reaches the pit, carefully drive the bike around the corner to the right, and continue down the tunnel. Stop before getting near the next pit. |

SECRET #2
|
Get off the quad bike and walk forward to edge of the pit. Turn around and hang off the edge of the pit and climb down into the pit using the rope ladder. Release from the ladder and drop into SECRET #2. Light a flare to help illuminate the dark pit. Pick up a box of shotgun shells (6), a large Medi Pack (7), and a box of flares (8), and then climb back out of the pit using the rope ladder. Climb back onto the quad bike. | ||

Jump the bike over the pit and follow tunnel as it zigs to the left.
When Lara reaches a large open cavern, get off the bike. Run into the
dark passage between two stone ledges. Turn right and run forward.
Climb up onto the ledge and turn right. Walk to the top of the ramp.
Turn left and walk to the very edge of this ramp. Take a running jump
and grab to reach the small tunnel. Pull up and draw weapons. Walk
forward until the tunnel turns to the right and kill the cobra (1) hiding around the corner. Follow the tunnel as it turns right and run forward climb up and run forward. Duck down and crawl though the small tunnel. Head to the right until Lara can stand up. Run forward and climb up again. Walk forward and take a standing jump over the hole. Draw weapons and as the tunnel widens and kill the cobra (2) that's hiding around the corner. Pick up the small Medi Pack (9) that is to the left of the cobra1 and then turn around and step forward. Safety drop into the hole and turn left. Push the button to open the gate and then reverse roll and draw weapons. Blast two monkeys (3, 4) that emerge. Exit through the gate that Lara just opened and turn left. Head to the left of the ramp and drop back down to the ground. Return to the quad bike and climb onto it. Drive the bike around toward the right corner where there is a slope. Accelerate the bike up the slope and jump the small gap. Make a hair pin turn to the right and accelerate the quad bike up the next ramp to make the long jump across to the opposite ramp. Turn the bike right and drive it through the open gate that Lara opened earlier. Drive the quad bike forward and collect the crystal (10). Have Lara dismount the quad bike and run down the rocky tunnel to the right to see the alternate path that she could have taken at this point. Across the river, Lara will spot a monkey (5). Draw weapons and kill the monkey from this side of the river. Return to the quad bike and get back onto the quad bike2. |

Now have Lara turn the quad bike to the right, and drop the bike down
the rocky path until the tunnel opens. Back the quad bike up away
from the river and then accelerate it forward to jump the river to the
shore on the opposite side5. Get off the bike and pick up the small Medi Pack (27). Get back on the bike and drop it down the hole. Turn it to the left and then drive the bike up the tunnel. When the tunnel opens at the top there will be some small bushes, immediately get off the bike and draw weapons. Kill two monkeys (16, 17). After killing the monkeys, there will be a passageway that leads to the right that will end at a gate. Go to the wall on the left and vault up into a tunnel and drop down into a small cave. Run forward and turn left. pick up a box of flares (28), and then crouch down and crawl under the low part of the ceiling and pick up a set of Uzi clips (29). |

Gate Key #1
|
Exit this cave by vaulting past the threshold. Drop to the ground and
turn right. Run forward. Before running down the tunnel, turn right
and climb up onto the ledge. Turn left and run forward, dropping into
a cave. Draw weapons and kill a cobra (18). Crouch down and crawl under the low part of
the cavern and pick up the Gate Key (30)
from the right. Turn around, crawl back under the low ceiling and
climb back out of this tunnel. Turn right and drop to the ground.
Draw weapons and turn right and head down the tunnel. Kill another
monkey (19) thats running around down
here. To the left there is a small hole that Lara must climb up into. She can crawl and drop down to the passage beyond. Run forward and turn right. Vault up to the brick passage, and draw weapons. Run up the steps and take out the monkey (20) on the ledge on the left. Jump up onto the ledge and pick up the small Medi Pack (31) that the monkey was on. Drop back to the ground and turn left. Run towards the torches. Kill two monkeys (21, 22) that will attack from the left. There is an alcove on the left that holds a box of shotgun shells (32) for Lara to pick up. Now follow the passage as it turns to the left. The tunnel will end at a dark alcove. Run into the alcove and jump up and grab to pull up out of the tunnel. Draw weapons and run forward and turn left. Kill two monkeys (23, 24) that are roaming this area. Run across the area, being careful to avoid the area in front of the double gate on the right. Climb up the step and run up to the ledge and collect a crystal (33). Drop down from the ledge and turn right. Return to the hole that Lara just pulled up from, and turn and face away from the hole. Turn and face left, but not completely squarely left. Take a back flip onto the ledge and hold the jump key and the action key. Lara will jump off the slope and grab the green stone pillar. Pull up and turn right. Take a running jump to the tree branch. Take another standing jump to the opening in the stone wall. Take a standing jump to the branch of the next tree and draw weapons. Kill the monkey (25) on the adjacent branch. |

Gate Key #2
|
Take a jump to that branch, and run to the brick ledge. Follow the
ledge as it wraps around the side of the structure. Enter the gateway
and draw weapons. Kill two monkeys (26, 27) that attack from the left. Head to the
left, and run to the steps on the far side of the room. Reverse roll
and draw weapons and kill two monkeys (28, 29). Pick up a
rocket (34), a second Gate Key (35), and a pair of of Uzi clips (36). Now turn around and run back to the where the hallway bends and carefully drop down into hole without getting burned by the flames. Draw weapons and kill two monkeys (30, 31) that are running around down here, being careful of the flames. Run past the statue that is blowing flames to the statue with the torch. Turn left and run to the alcove in the far wall. Push the button to open the gate on the left as well as the large double gates elsewhere. Quickly draw pistols and kill another monkey (32) that enters through the newly open small gate. Draw weapons, exit through the small gate that Lara just opened and kill three monkeys (33, 34, 35) that attack. Head to the green rocky ledges on the far left. Vault onto the low ledge, and turn right. Climb up to the higher ledge. Turn right and take a running jump to the tree branch. Walk forward and to the right and take a standing jump to the next branch. Turn left and face the wall that separates the quicksand area from the temple area. Take a running jump and grab to reach the ledge high up on the wall. Turn right and walk to the other end of the ledge. Turn right again and take a running jump to a ledge on the side of the temple. Turn left and walk to the opposite end of the ledge and pick up a box of shotgun shells (37). Turn around and run back to the other end of the ledge. Take a running jump back to the ledge on the wall. Turn left and run to the other end of the ledge and take a running jump and grab to return to the tree branch. Turn right and walk toward the tree trunk and angle Lara to the right. Take a standing jump back to the shorter bough. Turn right and walk forward. Take a standing jump to the gap in the stone wall. Drop forward to the ground and run forward and drop back down into the hole. Run forward and when the ceiling of the hallway opens, Lara will see a ledge to either side. Climb up onto one ledge and use one of the Gate keys, and then take a running jump across to the other side and use the other gate key to open the gates. Drop down to the ground and head back to the quad bike. Run toward the torches and turn right. Run to the end of the hall and head for the left corner. Turn left and climb up into the hole, and crawl so that Lara can lower herself down to the ground on the other side. Turn and run up the passage, taking a jump over the steep slope. Get back onto the bike, and drive the bike to the right and take a left and up through the newly open gates. Drive the bike up to the top of the slope and turn it left. Drive it up the small slope and line it up for the next jump. Rev up the engine and drive forward, jumping over the quicksand. Turn right and head toward the tree. Turn left after passing the tree, and continue forward. When Lara gets to the end of this passage, turn right. Drive the bike forward until Lara returns to the river. Immediately dismount the bike and draw weapons and kill two monkeys (36, 37). Walk to the tree ahead and on the right, which is growing at the edge of the water, and step up onto the base of the tree. Carefully aim Lara to the right and take a standing jump down to the roots of the tree that stick out into the water6. From there, stand on the far left corner and turn right. Take a standing jump to the flat part of this tree's roots, which is growing against the side of the wall. Be careful to land on the flat part, and not the sloped part. Now step backwards until Lara is in the triangular corner. Because of the triangular sloped part of the roots, Lara will automatically turn slightly to the right as she steps backwards. Now run in an counterclockwise arc toward the edge of these roots and take a running jump and grab. Lara will reach a ledge opposite this tree. There Lara can pick up a bundle of harpoons (38) and a set of Uzi clips (39). Now walk to the left and take a standing jump over to the roots of another tree. There Lara must use the semicircular arc run trick to take a running jump and grab to reach the green stone ledge. Turn left and take a running jump back to the roots of the first tree. Angle Lara to the right and take a running jump back to the clearing with the quad bike. Get back onto the quad bike and accelerate it toward the river and jump over the river to the cave. Quickly dismount the quad bike and shoot the two monkeys (9, 10). Run down the tunnel toward the valley on the left, and not toward the waterfall. Once at the valley, climb up the the ledge on the left to the higher area. Run over to the right side of the valley and climb the two rock ledges. When Lara reaches the second rock ledge, two vultures (7, 8) will attack. Draw weapons and kill them quickly. |

SECRET #4
|
Turn around and face the ledge that is ahead and above the rock ledge
that Lara is currently standing on. Take a running jump and grab to
reach the next ledge. Walk forward and to the right and take a
standing jump to the next ledge. Walk forward and to the right. Turn
left and locate the ledge across gap. Carefully aim Lara at the ledge
and take a running jump and grab to reach the ledge. Turn right and
walk to the other end of the ledge and turn right. Locate the sloping
ledge opposite the ledge and aim Lara squarely at it and then a little
more to the left such that Lara will land on the ledge and slide
forward and not backwards. Now take a running jump. Lara should slide
forward and just before Lara slides off the ledge, jump and grab the
small ledge opposite the ledge. Crawl inside hole, into SECRET #4, and turn left. Crawl forward and pick up a small Medi Pack (18) on the left and a set of Desert Eagle clips (19) on the right. Turn around and crawl back out of the onto the ledge. Walk forward to the right corner. Locate the the small slope off to the right. Take a running jump onto the slope and hold down the jump key. Lara will leap off the ledge back onto the high ledge she was on earlier. Walk to the other side of the ledge. Turn left and take a running jump and grab to reach the opposite ledge. Pull up and walk forward and to the right to pass back through the narrow pass. Take a standing jump over to the next ledge, and run forward until Lara drops down to the ledge below. |

| Turn around and drop once more to the upper ledge, and then run forward and drop down to the ground. Turn right and head back down the tunnel toward the quad bike. Collect crystal (20) and turn left and step out onto the ledge in front of the waterfall. | |||

Turn the quad bike to the left and head up the slope. Accelerate the
quad bike up the slope and hug the right wall. Jump the gap and
immediately stop the quad bike. Continue to hug the right wall and do
not pull forward too far because the entire far left corner is a deep
pit. Drive the quad bike slowly around the corner and continue to hug
the right wall to avoid another pit. Continue forward up the tunnel
and turn the bike to the left when Lara reaches the end of the
tunnel. Drive the bike out of the mouth of the tunnel and allow it to drop down the steep ramp. When Lara gets to the bottom, climb off the bike and walk over to the right edge of the stone ramp. Take a standing jump and grab to reach the small ledge in the rocks. Pick up the Desert Eagle clips (11). |

SECRET #3
|
Pull up into the hole on the right side of the ledge into SECRET #3. Crawl forward and turn left. Run forward and pick up a bundle of harpoons (12). Turn left and collect a crystal (13) and then ahead pick up a set of Uzi clips (14). Turn around run back and turn right again and crouch down. Crawl forward and turn right. When Lara reaches the opening turn around and have her lower herself down to the ledge. | ||

Take a jump back to the rocky ledge, and climb back onto the quad
bike. Accelerate the bike forward down the rocky ramp and jump
another gap. Turn the bike to the right and drive it forward, follow
the rocky pass back to the left. Turn the bike to the left again and
then to the right. Lara should now find herself at the base of a
narrow ramp. Dismount the bike and run forward along the pass to the right of the ramp. When Lara reaches the end of the pass, follow it as it turns right and continue forward until Lara reaches a tree. Stand to the left of the tree and angle Lara to the right3. Take a running jump over the roots of the tree to the dirt ledge on the far side of the tree. Turn left and take a running jump and grab to reach the rocky ledge across the river. Pull up, reverse roll and immediately draw weapons. Take out two vultures (6, 7) that will attack. When they are dead, pick up the Uzi Clips (15) and take a running jump and grab back to the dirt ledge. Angle Lara to the right and take a running jump back to the wide ledge. Return to the quad bike by turning back to the left and running along the pass, turning left again at the bend. Mount the bike and drive the bike up the ramp and turn it to the right. Slowly follow the twisty rock ledge around as it winds to the left twice, and once to the right. The ledge will turn back to the right twice. When Lara reaches this last right turn, be careful not to fall through the small gap in the ledge. If Lara drops off the ledge, she will probably land on a dirt road below. She will have to make her way back to the base of the slope and navigate the ledge again. From this corner Lara must jump the small gap and the larger gap beyond. Hold down the hand brake and start accelerating the bike. Release the hand brake when the engine's revs are high, and Lara will hop the small ledge and easily jump the large gap. Carefully drive the bike to the left until it's safely parked in the middle of the wider ledge, dismount the bike and collect the crystal (16). Head over to the rope ladder on the far side of the ledge where the ledge meets the valley wall. Climb the rope ladder and shimmy to the left. Climb down the ladder and when Lara reaches the lower ledge, shimmy to the right, and release when Lara is over the ledge. Draw pistols and turn right. Step down to the lower ledge and kill the cobra (8). Collect the Desert Eagle clips (17). Return to the small ledge where the rope ladder is. Side step to the left edge side of the ledge and climb back up onto the ladder. Shimmy left and then climb back up to the top of the ladder, then shimmy to the right and have Lara release from the ladder when Lara is over the upper ledge. Climb back up onto the quad bike and drive the bike over to the same side of the ledge as the ladder. Accelerate the bike along the wall and jump over a gap through a tiny opening in the opposite wall. Turn the bike right and drive it along the left wall down a couple of steps. When the bike drops down two ledges, before the bike rolls over the slope, immediately get off the bike and draw pistols. Kill two vultures (9, 10) that will attack from behind. |

SECRET #4
|
When the vultures are dead, climb back up along the wall that Lara
just drove down. When Lara climbs to the second ledge, turn around and
perform a running jump and grab to reach the next ledge. Walk forward
and to the right and take a standing jump to the next ledge. Walk
forward and to the right. Turn left and locate the ledge across gap.
Carefully aim Lara at the ledge and take a running jump and grab to
reach the ledge. Turn right and walk to the other end of the ledge
and turn right. Locate the sloping ledge opposite the ledge and aim
Lara squarely at it and then a little more to the left such that Lara
will land on the ledge and slide forward and not backwards. Now take a
running jump. Lara should slide forward and just before Lara slides
off the ledge, jump and grab the small ledge opposite the ledge. Crawl inside hole, into SECRET #4, and turn left. Crawl forward and pick up a small Medi Pack (18) on the left and a set of Desert Eagle clips (19) on the right. Turn around and crawl back out of the onto the ledge. Walk forward to the right corner of the ledge. Locate the the small slope off to the right. Take a running jump onto the slope and hold down the jump key. Lara will leap off the ledge back onto the high ledge she was on earlier. Walk to the other end of the ledge. Turn left and take a running jump and grab to reach the opposite ledge. Pull up and walk forward and to the right to pass back through the narrow pass. Take a standing jump over to the next ledge, and run forward until Lara drops down to the ledge below. Turn around and drop once more back to the quad bike. |

| At this point, Lara can leave behind the quad bike. Drop down to the ground below and draw weapons. Turn right and run into the tunnel. Kill two monkeys (11, 12) and run forward to collect the crystal (20). Turn left and run out of the tunnel on the side with the waterfall. | |||

Walk along the rock ledge on the left until the ledge ends. Draw
pistols and take a running jump across to the rock ledge beyond.
Three vultures4 (13, 14, 15) will attack, so blow them all away
before they get close and swarm. Turn slightly to the right and locate the small ledge. Take a running jump to reach the ledge. Safety drop off the right side of the small ledge to land on the ledge below. Pick up the MP5 clips4 (21) and the harpoons (22). |

SECRET #5
|
Take a running jump and grab to reach the crevice opposite this ledge. Shimmy to the right until Lara can pull up. Crawl forward, into SECRET #5, until Lara can stand. Pick up the shotgun shells (23) and the bundle of harpoons (24). Collect the crystal (25) and then crouch down and crawl back out to the ledge. | ||

Drop into the water below. Lara will find a raft that went over the
falls and was demolished on the rocks below. Pick up the small Medi
Pack (26) that is in front of wrecked
raft. Surface in front of the waterfall and climb onto the ledge on
the right side of the falls. Run through the falls and vault up
two ledges. Turn left and climb up to the next ledge. Turn right,
run into the tunnel and drop down into lower tunnel. Run forward to
leave the river behind. |
