Furnace of the Gods |
Items: 64 |
Kills: 41 |
|
| Beneath the Russian base, you will find what all the fuss was about: Endless rivers of molten gold. Welcome to Furnace of the Gods. | |||
Sights to See |
Deep beneath the icy surface, this island has a deposit of gold heated
to melting point by geothermal energy. The enormous deposit flows
through the island like blood through your veins. The original settlers of this island discovered these caverns and found value in their heat. They built dwellings and carved on the walls. They also built traps to keep out their enemies. You would be wise to watch your step. |
||
Local Fauna |
These caverns are home to more crows and rats, but also a few unfriendly polar bears, wolves and carp. Did we mention rats? There's a lot of rats.
Prospectors |
Once again, competing for the gold will be those unscrupulous A.V.A.L.A.N.C.H.E. mercenaries. They've sent in a couple of their top commandos to take you down.
Prospectors |
Legends say that the Mask of Tornarsuk gives the power of reanimation. Rousing a few of those restless spirits and giving them some flesh and bone may come in real handy.
Souvenirs
|
Pretty quickly after entering the caverns, you will find the object of your search, the Golden Mask of Tornarsuk.
Hidden Treasures |
The first is well-placed. Once again, leave no stone unturned. The second is hidden right in the middle of a whole lot of other gold. The third is placed in an out of they way place. By the time you see it, it may be too late to go back for it.
Hazards |
Unlike before, you will be facing mostly traps rather than enemies. Keep a watchful eye out for them, and you can usually spot them. What enemies there are can usually be taken down from a safe location.
