The Submarine |
Items: 17 |
Kills: 13 |
| You've managed to stowaway aboard The Submarine, but now you've been discovered and find yourself unarmed and locked away. Here's a little help along. | |||
Jail Break
Of course the first order of business is to get out of the klink. Wander around the crew quarter that's currently doubling as the brig. Take a look around. The first thing you should find is the broken handrail that can double as a crowbar. The second thing to look for a s broken ventilation grate which you can pry open.
Reinventing
When will the bad guys learn not to make vents big to crawl through? Oh well, their loss is your gain. Make your way through the ventilation system until you reach the shaft with the live electrical wires. At this point you will have to take a little side trip into a storage room to find an important item. You may be familiar with searching shelves, but don't forget to check the small file cabinets.
Too Many Cooks
Well, there's just one, but that's one too many. As you continue to explore the vent, you'll eventually make your way to the submarine's galley. Inside the galley, you'll find the cook. If he spots you'll be out of luck. Instead, sneak up on him and clock him with the crowbar. He'll drop a key that you'll need.
Freedom
The cook's key will gain you access to the pantry. Searching the pantry will provide you a pair of pistols and a key to the mess hall. Once you're free to explore the submarine, you'll immediately be faced with a room full of thugs. Once you've dealt with them you'll have several choices. Leave the closed bulkhead door for now, and explore the corridors outside the mess hall.
One Way
After you step out of the mess hall, it may appear that you can choose to go either left or right. The corridor to the right is pretty much a dead-end, so you'll have to go left. Follow that route to its end, and you'll find the cargo hold. Climb on onto the crates of the cargo hold to find another required item. Of course, along the way you'll have to deal with more thugs, but that's par for course.
Another Fine Mess
Now, back to the mess hall. It's time to open that bulkhead door on the other side of the mess hall. Enter that doorway and follow the passage. Pretty soon, you'll come to another storage room. Take out the guard inside, and then locate and climb back up into the ventilation system.
Two of a Kind
When you drop back out of the ventilation duct, you'll be in yet another storage room. Deal with the guard that you will alert and search the storage room for the matching other half of an item you should already be carrying.
Dive! Dive!
When you explore the hallway outside the storage room, you'll find that you can make your way back to the mess hall, but instead, proceed forward to the end of the hallway and you'll find a shaft that leads down. Climb down and explore and you'll find yourself in the submarine's diving chambers. You'll need to retrieve one more item from one of the thugs down there, and you'll have everything you need to operate one of the extreme depth suits.
Extreme Sports
By now you should be carrying two parts of a battery, the aqualung, and the suit console. All you need is the EDS. Find the suit that's not locked behind a glass case, combine all the items and place the console in the suit, and you'll be ready for a deepsea dive.
