So what do I do? What are the things I work on from day to day? Although I'm went to school for biomedical engineer, I've spent the last four years working as a software engineer, developing client/server database search and retrieval systems which are deployed via the internet (both using the web and text-base terminals). Along with software development, I've got lots of experience in system administration of UNIX and Windows NT servers.

I'm currently working as a software engineer at Photon Research Associates in San Diego, CA.

Although most of the world is using is the Windows platform, I have to say they're nothing but trouble!. Everyone should go out and replace their PC with a Macintosh as soon as posible.

So, as you probably have figured out, I am one of those "Mac advocators". "Changing the world one person at a time..." ('Hurry up already! Will y'guys?') and all that sort of stuff. There have been rumors in the business world that might suggest that Apple Computers ®, Inc, but the rumors of their death is greatly exaggerated. If you're in the mood for some Windows95 bashing you gotta read this.

Besides Apple Computers®, I have to say that Sun MicroSystems® is doing a fine job. (it's a shame they couldn't get together, eh?) It took me some time to figure out Solaris, but with some help from the SUN System Administrator's newsgroup and the Solaris 2.X FAQ file I've managed to keep the Sun SPARC's here happy and running.

As a software engineer / programmer / computer user, I'm always looking for some piece of software or source code. And I find myself spending hours using web search engins looking for something in particular.

A few years ago, I started playing this video game called Tomb Raider and after a few hours I was hooked, and after a few more hours, I was stuck. Althoug there were plenty of help sites for Tomb Raider, they were really difficult to understand, had imprecise or unclear instructions, or the wrong information. After struggling through the game, I decided to put up my own guide for Tomb Raider. A couple of years later, my hobby has turned into a major web guide.
