They've become the "industry's standard" for web browsers. The link above will direct you to their Net Directory. If you're not using Netscape Navigator, then you should be.


As its name implies, another starting point I've found to be quite impressive.


InfoSeek used to be just a search engine, now they've given their page a facelift and added an index of web sites organized into categories.


This is DEC's Alta Vista random web page launcher.

c|net is like an internet mini-mall. You can browse all you like, but if you want something nice to bring home, you'll have to buy. Still, there's lots to see without paying a cent.


Another hefty starting point/search engine. More stuff than you'll get to in a working day.


Search or browse... it's up to you. Here's yet another internet starting point that's noteworthy. They also have Headline news to keep you abreast on all the current events in the world.


The McKinley Group, which consists of international publishers, technologists, and information specialists have put together this directory of sites with a rating system and a "green light" for sites that (at review time) do not contain adult material.
